ASLS 1033 - Fingerspelling and Numbers
Credit Hours 3 , Lecture 3
Focuses on the comprehension and production of expressive and receptive fingerspelling and numbering skills using American Sign Language (ASL). This course is designed to enhance the student’s speed and clarity when recognizing and producing embedded fingerspelling words, numbers, and lexicalized fingerspelling in ASL. A range of contexts and topics will be utilized to test and increase proficiency when communicating in various situations. Information about the Deaf community and Deaf culture is included. Course instruction is primarily in ASL.
Prerequisites: Eligibility for ENGL 1013
