The Associate of Science in Pre‐Engineering Degree Program prepares students to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. The degree includes General Education coursework as well as coursework facilitating transfer to regional four-year universities to pursue baccalaureate degrees in Biological, Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Computer, Environmental, Industrial, Mechanical, and Petroleum disciplines. To facilitate transfer, BRCC has articulation agreements with four-year institutions that identify course equivalents and provide recommendations for students to prepare for the baccalaureate degree requirements. It is the responsibility of each student to seek advising from the Pre-Engineering Program Manager because required courses vary by discipline and by transferring institution.

To receive this degree, the student must;

  • Earn a “C” or better in all courses.
  • Earn 12 of the final 15 credits at BRCC.
  • Complete the coursework listed below.

Program Outcomes. Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will be able to:

  1. Demonstrate competencies that prepare students to transfer to baccalaureate engineering programs in a variety of disciplines.
  2. Interpret data collected in the laboratory.
  3. Solve basic physics and engineering problems.
